I just had a book published, called “Boudreaux and His Buddies.”
Boudreaux is a whimsical, cartoon alligator from Honey Island Swamp in South Louisiana. He goes on different fun-filled adventures with his buddies. His biggest adventure is a more serious one. It is about Boudreaux’s experience of going through Hurricane Katrina. With the one year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina approaching in August, this book is sure to touch your heart. It teaches lessons about life, friendship and family through Boudreaux’s wide-eyed innocence. it’s full of cajun names, cajun places and cajun customs. Written for readers ages 9 or 10 years of age through adult, “Boudreaux and His Buddies” is a 100-page paperback. It is available for purchase now through amazon.com, barnes&noble.com and has distributors in Europe. It is my wish that “Boudreaux and His Buddies” will bring a smile to the faces of everyone that reads it and somehow, it will touch peoples lives.
Sounds interesting – I might check it out.
Have you considered having the book available for elementary schools here in south Louisiana, Metro New Orleans, surrounding areas, and the River Parishes, in the month of August for purchase through the schools and a possible book reading and signing for the students? i think it might help the children heal since it is geared towards 9 and 10 year olds… A lot of kids are returning this school year…
Thanks for writing the book… Boudreaux stories are always the best!!!
yes
I’m going to look into it. It sounds like an awesome idea and a great way for kids in Louisiana to cope with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
