Who Here Has Ever Been To Antarctica?

I decided that im going to go there because it sounds like an amazing adventure! i had no idea it was so dangerous until i read about it, i wanted to see if anyone can share their experience with me, and also i was wondering if it would be a bad idea to go if youre a girl in your twenties that is 5’1 and weighs 110 pounds, is it too dangerous to go?

A good friend was there over 2 years ago!
She’d always wanted to go there, is a keen photographer and wanted to see the Emperor Penguins….a long way to go for a penguin eh!
Anyway she took the special boat from Ushaia (southern tip Argentina), there were also scientists, geologists etc on board and they gave some very interesting lectures about Antarctica.
She was only able to make day trips there and then come back and sleep on board. She has some amazing photos from there.
Dangers are everywhere…if you are prepared, fit and use your cop-on it shouldn’t pose any problem.
