The Boy Who Wanted To Die – Video 04 An Angel Among Us

Hey, Hey this is Darian. I make it mandatory for me to go outside and do something for an hour or so on the weekends. This helps refresh my mind. The cold is piercing. It makes me feel so alive. The sensation is welcomed. I love the snow. I should hate it, because I almost died in the snow once. My parents bought a house in front of Eastridge Elementary School in Amarillo, Texas. I was in Kindergarten walking to school. I wasn’t really dressed for a snow adventure. I didn’t really know any better. I had my sandals on and a long sleeve shirt. Our house wasn’t very far away. I walked to school everyday. Today was different. It had just snowed the night before. I saw this big perfect pile of snow. I wondered how it would feel to make a mad dash through this pile of snow. It was a nice beautiful pile. It was so white and so perfect. I just knew it was yearning for me to put my sandal prints on it. I just wanted to run through it. My desires forced me to do it. I ran for it as fast as I could. I picked up lots of speed. I felt like some sort of super hero. I made it half way through. There was a ditch in the middle of this pile of snow. I fell down and all I saw was white. I passed out. I should have known better than to wear sandals in the snow. I woke up later that morning. I looked around trying to make sense of things. I didnt know where I was. I was wrapped up in a blanket. I saw the face of my kindergarten teacher. Mrs. Lemon was her name. She smiled at me. I felt so …
