Nope, the color is NOT fake. This was shot on 16mm Kodachrome film, first sold by Kodak in 1936. This is real color; it has not been colorized.

The dog died.
lol
thats weird, i know why it does that, but they should have just taken it down immediately.
Pause at ecsactley 2:41… yes, belive it!…. ADOLF HITLER!
Well lets thank god this happened to only one puppy, i mean imagine if this one didn’t collapse and then it happened on a bridge with several puppies! Or hookers!
lol
This catastrophe taught engineers a few new things they didn’t know before. It may have been up to snuff at the time but they didn’t know enough to take into account what wind and resonance would do. Don’t blame the engineers for not knowing what most didn’t know at the time.
Yea, the dog died… poor puppy..
they say it was too afraid to come out.
Best engineers ever!!
i kno
poor tubby
WAIT DID HE LEAVE THE DOG IN THERE?
Guaaaau!
That’s insane (and awesome)
Great footage i never saw that whole thing. Boy that was terrible. Incredible how it swayed and twisted like that. And those two men out on the bridge to get the dog. Crazy!
if that were the verrazano bridge,i’d be pissed off
