One of the last expeditions allowed on the difficult Umbwe trail, we filmed this segment on the summit of Kilimanjaro (just over 19000 feet). We spent the night near the crater and battled freezing temperatures, thin oxygen, and poor air quality as a result of the sulfuric steam emitting from the crater.
